Žilina, 1.11.2015 Dear friends,
I would like to invite you to the XIV. Carnivorous Artificial Bait Shore Angling World Championship which will take place from May 26, to -30, 2016 in the Slovak republic.
Slovakia is small country in the heart of Europe 3 sides bounded by the Carpathy mountains and by the Danube river in the south. It consists of productive plains in the surrounding of Danube and of more than 2.500 m high shields of the smallest bigmountains of the world – High Tatras. The country has cca 6.000.000 inhabitants living in the area of 49.030 km². The capital city is Bratislava. Slovakia is a country rich in natural beauty and sightseeings. The right of fishing is secured by the Slovak Angling Federation, which has about 100.000 members. Its seat is the City of Žilina. In Slovakia is possible to fish in the standing waters (e.g. barrages, gravell-barrages, old rivers „arms“) and in the running waters of rivers Danube, Váh, Hron, Orava, Hornád, Nitra, Poprad etc.
The XIV. Carnivorous Artificial Bait Shore Angling World Championship, organized by the Slovak Angling Federation, will take place in the small town Svit, on the Poprad river. For those, who didn´t visit Slovakia yet, the town Svit is located approximately 320 km NE from the capital city Bratislava.
Slovak Angling Federation is organizing nearly each year World or European Championship in different angling disciplines, this year it was The 35th World Club Coarse Fishing Championship. Me and the organizing committee of this championship promise you, that we will do all our best to prepare everything for you to be satisfied and to feel comfortable.
We are looking forward to see you in Slovakia.

The town SVIT
Svit is a small town and municipality in Poprad District in the Prešov Region in northern Slovakia. It lies 8 km (5 mi) west of the city of Poprad, at the foothills of the High Tatras.
Svit is also one of the youngest Slovak towns. It was established in 1934 by business industrialist Jan Antonín Baťa of Zlín, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) through his organization Baťa a.s., Zlin in accordance with his policy of setting up villages around the country for his workers. As a boy, Jan Baťa saw the poverty and sickness of his fellow countrymen. He wanted to change this by creating cities full of the most modern factories and filled with the best (and happiest) workers in Europe. The Baťa System under Jan's administration brought prosperity first to Moravia, and later Slovakia and Bohemia. It was Jan's policy for full employment that drove him to create each Baťa town for a different purpose: Shoes, Rubber and Tires, Textiles, Airplanes, Chemicals, Plastics, Media, Stockings, Leather, Machinery.

COMPETITION VENUE – POPRAD RIVER
The competition will take place on the Poprad River in the town Svit. The Poprad River is a submontane river mostly regulated. The width of the stream is about 8 m, its depth ranges from 0.2 to 1.3 meters. The flow is predominantly streaming with the creation of artificial cascades .The bottom is covered with deposits of rocks and gravel.
The surrounding banks at the top of the river are without streamside vegetation. Middle and lower parts of the track are moderately overgrown with willow trees.
Fish occurrence: Brown trout, Rainbow trout, Grayling, Brook trout, Perch , Danube salmon.
All fish occurred in the Poprad river are ranking.

Logistic centre of the championship will be situated in the Pension KOLIBA SVIT, which is situated on the competition venue.
